This fast track project included precise milestone deliveries of portions of the project coinciding with furnace shut down durations. The work scope included the installation of an upgraded and expanded control panel and the renovation of an adjoining break room and the construction of new office space.
The project involved many challenges including the removal and reconstruction of an explosion proof masonry wall to allow for debris removal and new equipment access. The control room construction was phased to allow for the continued operation of the control panel while it was being upgraded and expanded. Temporary dust containment walls were required to separate work areas from on-going operations.
